In the Community
We were glad to be invited. The campus describes itself as "a leading senior services organization in Northern California," and this was one of its senior living round tables. The morning included breakfast, and the campus's own recap mentions a bagel tower.
This page is a short record of the morning, with photos the campus shared. We have not published a transcript or slides of the talk, so we do not report what was said beyond the theme the campus gave. To see what we have written about changes in hearing care, start with the topics further down this page.

What happened at the round table
The San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living invited Dr. Savin to speak at its senior living round table at Frank Residences. The campus's post says it "welcomed Dr. Kira Savin, Doctor of Audiology, who shared her perspective on the future of hearing care," and that it was "wonderful to catch up with friendly faces and gather around a bagel tower with all the fixings." Dr. Savin is one of the audiologists at California Hearing Center, and you can read her background on her profile page. She is also a partner at our sister practice, Audiology Associates of Westchester, which wrote its own note about the morning on its site.

About the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living
On its own website the campus calls itself "a leading senior services organization in Northern California," and says it was previously known as the Jewish Home. Its listed services include assisted living and memory care, and Frank Residences is among the communities it links to. The campus address on its site is 302 Silver Avenue, San Francisco. We are an independent audiology practice with offices in San Mateo and San Carlos, and we are not part of the campus. Dr. Savin was a guest speaker, and we thank the campus team for hosting. You can learn more about the campus at sfcjl.org.

Topics we have covered on the way hearing care is changing
These are pages from our own news coverage. They are not a summary of the talk. If you are weighing over-the-counter devices against a fitted aid, read hearing aids and over-the-counter devices: what Bay Area patients need to know. If hearing glasses have caught your eye, we explain Legato Frames and Meta's hearing feature. For news on implants, see the invisible cochlear implant, TICI UNICO. Families supporting an older parent may also like our practical guide to hearing aids for seniors and our page on hearing loss and social isolation in seniors.
Bring a talk or a clinic day to your community

Individuals who want a hearing test can book at our San Mateo or San Carlos office, or read what happens at a hearing test.
