Credentials & training
Dr. McMahan earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Cincinnati and her Doctorate of Audiology from Salus University in Philadelphia. She completed her residency in Anchorage, Alaska, where she continues to be based. She is certified by the American Board of Audiology and is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Audiology and the Academy of Doctors of Audiology. She was named Alumna of the Year by Salus University's George S. Osborne College of Audiology.

Her clinical expertise includes diagnostic hearing evaluations, tinnitus assessment and management, and telehealth service delivery, caring for both pediatric and geriatric populations. Dr. McMahan is among the first U.S. clinicians to implement Lenire, the FDA-approved bimodal neuromodulation device for tinnitus, and co-authored a real-world outcomes study on its effectiveness published in Nature Communications Medicine. Her mission centers on helping patients "hear the life they love" through individualized care.
