San Mateo Office
Call 650-342-9449 to book, or send us an appointment request and we will call you back to find a time that works.
Office hours: Monday through Thursday 9am to 5pm, and Friday 9am to 3pm.
Where we are
88 N. San Mateo Drive sits just off downtown San Mateo, a short distance from the San Mateo Caltrain station and easily reached from Highway 101 or El Camino Real. If you are coming from Burlingame, Hillsborough, Foster City, or Belmont, the drive is usually well under fifteen minutes outside of commute hours.
Parking and access
There is a parking lot behind the building. Turn up the driveway that runs alongside the office — a banner with our logo marks it — and the lot is at the top, off the street and out of downtown traffic. There is street parking on N. San Mateo Drive as well, plus public lots and garages in the downtown core. A ramp with a handrail runs from the lot along the side of the building, so there is a way in that avoids the front steps. If mobility or parking is a concern, mention it when you book and our front desk will talk you through the easiest approach and meet you at whichever door suits you best.
What happens at your visit
A first appointment usually runs about an hour. We take a history of what you are noticing and where, look in the ears, and complete a full diagnostic evaluation. Then we go through the results with you while they are fresh, in plain language, and talk through options, including doing nothing yet, if that is the honest recommendation.
Booking your appointment
Call 650-342-9449 during office hours and our team will find you a time. You can also request an appointment through this site and we will follow up, or schedule online through Zocdoc if you prefer to pick a slot yourself. Referring physicians can fax records to 650-342-4435.
The technology we fit here
San Mateo is our main office and it is where new platforms land first. We fit the current 2026 flagships from every major manufacturer, including Oticon Reveal, which launched in August 2026 with two AI systems running at once, alongside the newest devices from Phonak, Starkey, ReSound, Widex and Signia. Being independent means we can compare brands honestly rather than pushing whichever one a supplier wants moved this quarter, and we keep demonstration units here so you can hear the difference instead of reading about it. Newest is not automatically best: every fitting is verified with real-ear measurement, which usually changes your result more than the choice of platform does.
Our other office
We also see patients in San Carlos at 1008 Laurel Street, about ten minutes south. If that is closer to you, see the San Carlos office page for its hours, which differ from San Mateo's.
Frequently asked questions
Questions patients ask us
What are your San Mateo office hours?
Monday through Thursday 9am to 5pm, and Friday 9am to 3pm. Call 650-342-9449 to book a time.
Where do I park?
In the lot behind the building. Turn up the driveway alongside the office, following the banner with our logo, and park at the top. Street parking on N. San Mateo Drive and the downtown public lots and garages are there if you prefer. Tell us when you book if parking or mobility is a concern and we will help you plan the easiest route in.
Do I need a physician referral?
Usually no. Most patients book a hearing evaluation directly. Some insurance plans require a referral for coverage, so it is worth checking your plan. Referring offices can fax records to 650-342-4435.
