What a TV streamer does
A TV streamer, also called a TV adaptor, is a small device that plugs into your TV. It sends the audio wirelessly to your hearing aids. You hear dialogue clearly, at the volume you choose. The TV speakers can stay at a normal level for everyone else in the room.
Will it work with my hearing aids?
Most major brands make a compatible streamer, including Oticon, Widex, Phonak and Starkey. Each brand's streamer works with that brand's devices, so the right choice depends on the hearing aids you wear. Tell us which ones you have. We can order the compatible product for you.
What is Auracast?
Auracast is a newer wireless standard. It can send audio from a TV, or from other sources, to compatible hearing aids and earbuds. Support depends on your hearing aids and on the TV or venue. Tips for TV listening
Sit close to the screen and face it. Turn on the TV's subtitles as a backup. Reduce room noise, such as a fan or a dishwasher, while you watch. If dialogue is still hard to follow, tell us at your next visit. We can check your hearing aid settings.

Do I need a streamer if my hearing aids have Bluetooth?
Maybe not. Some hearing aids connect directly to TVs that support the right standard. Others need a streamer. We will check your model.
Will others hear the TV too?
Yes. The TV speakers can stay at a normal level for others, while you hear your own volume through your hearing aids.
Can I use a TV streamer with hearing aids bought elsewhere?
Often yes, if the streamer is made for your brand. Bring your devices in and we will confirm.
